Hello, hello! Samantha here with my second mini card gift box design. This one uses one of my favorite paper crafting materials; acetate.
This box, like the first, is entirely handmade.
Let’s begin. You will need:
- Basis White 80lb Cardstock for the base cut to 5.5″ x 5.5″
- Acetate from the We R Memory Keepers Clearly Posh 12×12 Acetate Pad for the lid cut to 5″ x 5″
- .5″ wide red tape
- Score-Tape Premium Double-Sided Adhesive
- Scoring board
- Bone folder
To begin trim a sliver (approximately 1/8″) from two sides of your acetate.
Score on all four sides at .75″
Apply red tape to the flaps and then cut the flaps after the score line. Close up photo to demonstrate what I mean.
Miter your corners. Repeat on all four sides.
Burnish well and remove the backing from your tape. Assemble your lid.
Repeat these same steps for the base, omitting the trimming. Score on all four sides at 1″. For the base I used Score-Tape instead of red tape.
The acetate lid fits inside the cardstock base.
That’s all. Decorate as you’d like!
