Could it be? Yes, Fall festivities will soon be upon us! I thought I’d get some practice in by making a fun (and not scary) Halloween card.
My main motivation was to use this pretty background stamp from Fun Stampers’ Journey called Ornate Blooms along with what I think is the “perfect orange” from CutCardstock – Orbit Orange.
I started off stamping the background image onto Curious Translucent Card Stock using Versamark ink, then heat embossing it with some Wow Primary Ebony embossing powder. Later, I will back it with a small rectangle of Orbit Orange Astrobright card stock.
I paper pieced a pumpkin from the Lawn Fawn Harvest Season set which is retired but has always been a favorite of mine. The pumpkin has such a cheerful look! I added a little bit of shading with some Copics and a white gel pen for some interest.
For the leaf, I clear heat embossed a little leaf from the set using some Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green card stock. Teeny tiny Micro Glue Dots are great for adhering the small parts together.
I adhered all the components onto the front of a Cougar A2 white folded notecard and added an “old-timey” looking Halloween sentiment. Nuvo Drops in Ebony Black complete the card.
Thanks so much for joining me today! Be sure to check back all this month for all kinds of inspiration from our Design Team using Orange, Brown and Gold card stock.
